Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet, dark, or milk, as preferred)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (for a smooth finish)
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal

Optional: 2 tbsp peanut butter or a drizzle of caramel for added flavor

Instructions:

1. Prepare the pan: Line an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in 15-20 second intervals, stirring each time until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.

3. Combine with cereal: Gently mix the melted chocolate with the crispy rice cereal in a large bowl, ensuring all pieces are coated evenly.

4. Transfer and set: Pour the mixture into the lined pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Press down gently to compact the layer.

5. Chill: Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until the chocolate has completely set.

6. Cut and serve: Remove from the pan, cut into squares or bars, and enjoy!
